Fr. Albert Alejo, S.J.
Jesuit priest and Filipino scholar. He earned from Ateneo de Manila University his MA Philosophy and MA Theology. He also has an MA and PhD in Social Anthropology from University of London, School of Oriental and African Studies. He is co-founder of Citizens-Customs Action Network (CITIZCAN) , Co-convenor of the People’s Action Against Corruption and Co-founder of Hawid Lang! Whistleblowers Assistance Network. He was Chair of the Board of the Philippine Jesuit Refugee Service; proponent of the establishment of Apo Sandawa Indigenous Leadership Institute; chief consultant of the “Higher Ground, Longer Vision: Federating Mindanao Lumad Legislators” Davao City. He was also a Member of the Crisis Management Committee, Zamboanga City, during the Zamboanga Siege of 2013; Chief Consultant of Strengthening Advocacy of Lumads in Government (SALIG-LUMAD); Member, Reciprocal Working Committee, Philippine Government (GPH) Team negotiating with the National Democratic Front (NDF); Member, BRAIN Trust Incorporated that drafted the Mindanao 2020 Peace and Development; Co-founder and Board Member, Coalition of Indigenous Peoples for Peace Advocacy (COMIPPA) (2010–); Project Team Leader, Dialogue Mindanaw, Nationwide Reflective Dialogues on the GRP-MILF Peace Talks, Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process (OPAPP) (2010); Project Director Konsult Mindanaw, Public Peace Consultations under the Bishops-Ulama Conference. Ginawaran ng iba’t ibang karangalan kabilang ang Gawad ng Estadong Pranses na chevalier de palme’s academique (1978), Gawad ng Komisyon sa Wika (1987 ), Gawad ng Sentro ng Wikang Pilipino (1999), Gawad Pambansang Alagad ni Balagtas (2009), Bayani ng Wika (2009), at Most Outstanding Bikolano Artist for Literary Arts (2009).
Siya ay nagtapos ng B.A. Kasaysayan (summa cum laude) sa U.P. noong 1955 at Ph.D. Etnolohiya o Antropolohiyang Kultural Sorbonne Unibersidad ng Paris (Sorbonne Université de Paris) na may Pinakamataas na karangalan (Trés Bien) noong 1966.
Ma. Carmen V. Penalosa
Propesor sa Miriam College, Lungsod ng Quezon. Nagtapos ng BA Public Administration, cum laude (1994), MA Demography (1999) at Doctor of Public Administration (2014) sa Unibersidad ng Pilipinas-Diliman. Nakapagturo na sa iba’t ibang unibersidad gaya ng UP Diliman, UP Open University, College of St. Benilde, De La Salle University, Lyceum of the Philippines. Kasapi ng iba’t ibang organisasyon gaya ng Bagong Kasaysayan Inc., Pambansang samahan sa Sikolohiyang Pilipino, Bahay saliksikan sa Kasaysayan, Philippine Society for Public Administration, Rotary Club of Fort Bonifacio Taguig, ADHIKA, Inc., Women Studies Associatopm pf the Philippines at Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. Raul Roland Sebastian
Kasalukuyang Tagapangulo ng Kagawaran ng Kasaysayan sa Politeknikong Unibersidad ng Pilipinas (PUP). Siya ay nagtapos ng kursong Batsilyer ng Sining sa Kasaysayan (1998) sa PUP, MA Philippine Studies (2005) sa UP Dilimanat Doctor in Public Administration (2015) sa PUP. Tumatayong Hepe ng Center for Peace and Poverty Alleviation Studies (CPPAS) ng Politeknikong Unibersidad ng Pilipinas. Siya ay may-akda ng ilang lathalain sa kasaysayan at Agham Panlipunan tulad ng Kasaysayan: Kalinangan, Diwa, Kabuluhan, Hulagway ng Bayani sa Lipunang Pilipino, The Socio-economic Implications of the West Philippine Sea, Church Discourse in Post-war Politics at marami pang iba. Si Dr. Sebastian ay aktibong kasapi din ng ibat-ibang samahang pangkasaysayan at kultura.
Ayshia F. Kunting
History and Social Studies professor at the College of Liberal Arts of the Western Mindanao State University (WMSU), Zamboanga City. She graduated BA History from UP Diliman in 2010 and graduated Master in History from Mindanao State University – Iligan Institute of Technology in 2014. She is currently pursuing a doctorate degree in Public Administration in WMSU. She obtained her professional teacher’s license in June 2016 and had recently passed the Sharia Bar held in January 2016, and was admitted into the Philippine Sharia Bar as a Sharia counselor in June 2016. Her research interests include Moro History, Sharia Law, and Public Administration in the Philippines.
Ambeth R. Ocampo
Filipino public historian, academic, journalist and author of bestselling books on Philippine History. He was the former chair of the National Historical Institute (2002). He is a PhD candidate at the University of London, School of Oriental and African Studies. He obtained his MA and BA degrees at De La Salle University and was bestowed an honoris causa at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines.
Evelyn A. Songco
Current Vice President of the Philippine Historical Association. She earned her Ph.D. in Development Education (2000), MA in Development Education (1995) and BSE in History and Religion, magna cum laude (1973) from the University of Santo Tomas. She published numerous articles and books on teaching and history. She served as officer of various professional organizations like the Catholic Teachers Guild of the Philippines, Philippine Association for Teacher Education, and the Philippine Historical Association.
